1. Who we are
ShieldsOn ("ShieldsOn," "we," "us") provides anti-fraud and online-safety tools for families. You can reach us at support@shieldson.ai.
2. What we collect
- Account info — name, email, phone number, and (optionally) profile details you provide.
- Safety content — text, screenshots, transcripts, or links you submit for scam checks or coaching, plus the AI's analysis of them.
- Family context — the contacts you add to your Circle, the children you add to Family, and the rules and activity recorded for those profiles.
- Technical data — device type, browser, IP, app diagnostics, and crash reports.
- Community content — ideas, votes, and comments you post on the Future Features board.
3. How we use it
- To run the service: detect scams, alert you, and protect the people in your account.
- To improve our models and detection quality, using de-identified data where possible.
- To communicate with you about safety alerts, account activity, and product updates.
- To meet legal obligations and prevent abuse.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with vetted service providers (cloud hosting, AI inference, SMS/voice, email delivery) who process it on our behalf under contract, and only when legally required.
5. Your choices
- Update or delete your profile at any time from your Account page.
- Permanently delete your account, which removes your profile, history, Circle, and screening number.
- Contact us at support@shieldson.ai to request a copy of your data or to ask questions.
6. Children
ShieldsOn is designed to be used by parents to protect minors. Child accounts created via the Family hub are managed by their parent. We do not knowingly collect data from children outside of that consented family flow.
7. Security
We use encryption in transit, encryption at rest, row-level security in our database, and least-privilege access for staff. No system is perfect — please use a strong, unique password and enable any available two-factor options.
8. International users
Your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. We rely on standard contractual clauses and equivalent safeguards for international transfers.
9. Changes
We will update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email.
